In a vineyard at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment in Greenleaf, exists a place where friends gather to share wine, stories, and laughter. The escape on the escarpment is a 10-acre vineyard with a tasting room and winery on-site focused on Wisconsin wines & nomadic brands.

LedgeStone is an embodiment of the change in direction that is presented to each of us, significant or insignificant. It is a place to learn through education and grow with conversation. To us, it’s a place of home, family, and friends.

LedgeStone Vineyards first planted roots in 1999 with the grape, Frontenac Noir, and has since grown to a 10-acre vineyard with amazing views of the Niagara Escarpment as the backdrop. The outside of our tasting room & winery may look like a pole barn but inside, you are transformed into a place of comfort and wine.

The LSV vision in wine is simple; quality wine with a story. Each glass of wine opens a look into a winemakers passion and efforts on crafting something to be shared with everyone. Our drive brings us to explore and promote the grapes grown here in Wisconsin – we aim to stretch the limits of these grape varieties into classic styles of dry, complex, and diverse flavors.

LedgeStone Vineyards was forged through hard work, love, and passion rooted in family and wine.

About the Winemakers

“A man travels the world over, searching for what he needs, and returns home to find it.” – George Moore

Katrina and Adam met studying abroad in Newcastle, Australia just about 10 years ago. Now, returning home to be with family and to create their vision and passion for wine in Wisconsin. Adam is a native of Green Bay, while Katrina’s roots begin in Cleveland, Ohio. The sequence of events that led to LedgeStone is serendipitous and wonderful – perhaps if you ask when you stop in the tasting room they will share their love story.

For over 2 years, they have traveled and worked in New Zealand’s Marlborough Region, Oregon’s Willamette Valley and Australia’s Margaret River making a plethora of different wines, learning as much as they could along the way and molding their outlook on the wine industry. Both Adam and Katrina are Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 3 certified – comparable to sommelier training focusing on winemaking.

Their experience spreads from production to vineyard work, to creating exciting events & building with the community. The two have made LedgeStone a place to enjoy time with one another and to meet friends from near and far. You might find a new wine because of their drive to share through education and you might meet Millie – the vineyard dog.

Now our roots are planted in making fantastic classic-styled wines and sharing our story with you all.
