2021 Chardonnay

Chardonnay – a grape that can vary so easily depending on the place of origin. In California, it extends deeper then that to the aspect of the hill side or the elevation of the site. This Chardonnay is grown a little more inland with days drenched in sunshine. This style lends best to a wine thats filled with stone fruit like flavors or citrus characters.

We barrel aged the Chardonnay in mostly neutral oak and a technique called batonnage was prefermed (stirring of the lees). Be sure to serve this Chardonnay cold but perhaps keep the bottle out of the fridge after opening, You’ll notice when the wine is cooler – its acidity shins through and as it warms in your glass, more of the fruit notes show. Chardonnay is great with a cheese plate or any type of seafood.
