THE DAYS BETWEEN
A Grateful Wine Down
There was always something bigger happening when the Grateful Dead came to town. You could arrive among strangers and leave feeling like you were part of something. The music wandered, friendships formed and, for a few hours, you knew you weren’t alone.
We’re bringing a little of that spirit to the vineyard for The Days Between, presented as part of our Wine Down Concert Series.
Thursday, August 6
Music from 5–10 PM
Featuring, in order:
High & Rising
Jeremiah Jams
Verry Garcia
Another One
Four bands will take us through different corners of the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia songbook, moving from groovy grass and free-flowing jams to acoustic Garcia favorites and the full electric Dead experience.
We’ll also create our own LSV Shakedown Street, build a timeline from the memories of our community and share stories around the campfire. We may even make a miracle or two happen along the way.
THE BANDS
High & Rising
Born along the banks of the Mississippi River, High & Rising brings a fresh “Groovy Grass” sound to bluegrass, folk and Americana. Their connection to the Dead runs deep, including their full-length tribute album, Grateful for You, recorded live at Pachyderm Studio in Cannon Falls, Minnesota.
Jeremiah Jams
Led by husband-and-wife duo Jeremiah and Emily Jams, this Northeast Wisconsin band blends indie rock, funk and improvisational jams into a high-energy live show. For this set, they’ll dig into the Dead catalog while bringing plenty of their own groove and personality to the music.
Verry Garcia
Verry Garcia brings together members of Chicken Wire Empire for a trip through Jerry Garcia’s wide-ranging musical world. Expect songs from the Grateful Dead, Old & In the Way and beyond, moving between psychedelic rock and stripped-down string music.
Another One
Another One is a Milwaukee and Madison-based Grateful Dead tribute that honors the band’s mix of rock, blues, country, folk and open-ended improvisation. They’ll close the night with the full electric Dead experience and plenty of room for the songs to stretch out.
Do you have photos or memories from a Grateful Dead show through the years?
Send them our way. We’d love to include your story in the community timeline displayed among the vines.
